Critical phenomena in leveraged crypto markets

Do liquidation cascades announce themselves before they fire, and in which state variable? Seven major BTC cascades (2022–2025, including the record $19B event of October 2025), every claim swept across 39 analysis configurations and tested against a 300-onset placebo null. The answer was no: nothing univariate survives across events. Part II asks what is left — the order of the transition — and measures the engine itself from a transaction-level fill log. Both are public; Part I is under review at Physica A.

DefiStar — cross-venue perps, and measuring its own edge away

A Rust monorepo running delta-neutral strategies live across Hyperliquid and Kraken Futures. The funding signal turned out to be 20–100× smaller than the execution noise deciding the outcome; the cross-venue basis underneath it is real and mean-reverting, and still does not clear its 14 bps execution floor. No money — but venue-truth accounting, an execution-cost model and a per-experiment ledger came out of it.

ultrafold-micro — a bench for proving cost

A BaseFold-shaped commit-and-fold pipeline — packed interleaved Merkle trees, round-tagged multi-query openings — scheduled as a DAG to ask where parallel execution actually pays. The useful result so far is negative and measured: openings alone force 97% of the graph, so partial evaluation buys almost nothing on this workload. Pinned as a test so the claim cannot rot.
